Who is Joel Firebaugh?
Joel Firebaugh has a passion for reaching the next generation, and finding leaders to do it alongside of him. He currently serves as the Next Gen Director for Crossroads Church with Lead pastor Brian Tome. Crossroads helps connect seekers to a Christ minded body of believers who are changing the world.
He has previously served as a teaching pastor for 2|42 Community church as well as a part of the Christ in Youth (CIY) teaching circuit.
Joel also co-founded Student Ministry Coach, a coaching program and cohort that helps Youth Pastors of all levels learn and lean into their God-given gifts of leadership.
Joel and his wife Anna reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I spent the majority of my junior high and high school years in Houston Texas, right on the edge of the Bible Belt. I saw people attend church weekly, but live a lifestyle that was anything but close to the teachings of Jesus. For me, speaking has always been an opportunity to present truth, even when culture is presenting truth differently.
Similarly, Gen Z and Gen Alpha are growing up in a digital world that is presenting false truth. It is easier than ever to claim Christ, yet, live in an entirely different manner. My goal is to use communication to present biblical clear truth in an engaging way. I’m never scared to lean into the same strategies of the culture they are already immersed in; to use humor, stories, videos, and even props to clarify what the Bible is saying. This generation has been nicknamed “the fighting generation”, so let’s get them fighting against culture and for the gospel of Jesus, and they will truly be unstoppable.
